Rock ‘n’ roll superstar Mick Jagger is unquestionably and completely. The Rolling Stones leader and bad boy of the British music industry in the 1960s and 1970s has long ago solidified his icon status among musical heavyweights like Freddie Mercury, John Lennon, and David Bowie. Jagger, who is well-known for his distinctive singing voice and distinctive dancing style, has followers of all ages and doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon.
Jagger, who was born on July 26, 1943, grew up in Dartford, England, where he first expressed an interest in singing as an early age. As a kid, I was always singing. I was one of those youngsters who simply enjoyed singing. Some youngsters enjoy singing in choirs, while others enjoy flaunting themselves in front of the mirror. According to Reader’s Digest, Jagger stated in the biography “According to the Rolling Stones,” “I was in the church choir and I also adored listening to singers on the radio — the BBC or Radio Luxembourg — or watching them on TV and in the movies.”
Before a serendipitous reunion with Keith Richards, a buddy from elementary school, changed his life permanently, he attended the London School of Economics. They became friends through their passion of rhythm and blues and started meeting together to try out their musical chemistry. He and Richards moved into a flat in Chelsea, London, with his buddy Brian Jones in 1962, and they started to seriously consider a career in music.
Jagger pursued his business education on a government subsidy despite having a career in music in mind, hoping to end up as a journalist or politician should his musical aspirations fail. However, after landing jobs, he abandoned this idea since doing both “seemed like too much hard work,” according Christopher Andersen’s book “Jagger.”
Jagger then decided to focus entirely on music. When the Rolling Stones made their debut in a London jazz club in July 1962, Jagger served as their singer in addition to Richards and Jones, who were also playing guitars. They acquired enough influence by the next year to start performing to packed houses. Jagger and Richards started penning their own music for the band in 1964, after scoring their first two No. 1 successes in the UK. With the song “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” which they co-wrote, they achieved their first international success.
The band has recorded some of the most enduring rock ‘n roll songs over the course of their remarkable 60 years together, including “Paint It Black,” “Honky Tonk Woman,” “Sympathy For The Devil,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” and “Gimme Shelter.” The Rolling Stones, one of the best-selling groups of all time, were admitted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. They have received several Grammy awards, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. They routinely come in first place in prominent music journals’ lists of the greatest bands ever.
The band’s reputation as party-loving troublemakers grew as they put out a succession of top-charting albums. In addition to this, Jagger had a history of catching women’s attention, which led the media to start speculating about his sexual liaisons and following his every move to gain the inside scoop.
Models Chrissie Shrimpton, Bebe Buell, and Carla Bruni, as well as singers Marianne Faithfull and Marsha Hunt, are some of the women Jagger has been associated to. Despite his long history of romances, the rock star had only ever been legally wed and then separated from actress Bianca Jagger, who was born in Nicaragua, in 1971. Later, in 1990, in Bali, Indonesia, he married American model Jerry Hall, with whom he had been romantically involved since the late 1970s, although the marriage was never recognized by the government. When he started dating Sophie Dahl, the 24-year-old daughter of famed novelist Roahl Dahl, at the age of 56 and 24 respectively, Jagger made headlines. In addition, he dated L’Wren Scott, a fashion designer, before she passed away in 2014. She gave him her whole $9 million fortune, which he used to fund the creation of a scholarship at Central Saint Martins College in London.
Jagger started dating American ballerina Melanie Hamrick the same year that Scott passed away, and the two became parents to Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger in 2016, when the rock legend was 73 and Hamrick was 29. Prior to the birth of tiny Deveraux, Jagger had seven previous children with four different women, making Deveraux his eighth kid overall. Jade Jagger, a jewelry designer, Georgia May Jagger, a model, and Elizabeth Jagger, an actress, are some of his most well-known offspring.
When she became pregnant with their baby, Hamrick, who had met Jagger in New York when she was on tour with the American Ballet Company, gave up dancing but has since resumed choreographing. Additionally, in September 2022, she released “First Position,” an erotic fiction novel.
According to the countless photos Hamrick shares of her kid on social media, it is obvious that she is quite proud of him. Deveraux epitomizes innocence of youth with his golden hair and blue eyes. He clearly shares his father’s unique appearance, which includes the identical big pout and downturned eyes.
The joyful mother honored her son’s sixth birthday on December 8, 2022, with a heartfelt Instagram post that featured a carousel of pictures. They demonstrated how much Deveraux is turning into a mini-Jagger. The first image showed Deveraux in what seemed to be a recording studio while sporting a T-shirt bearing The Rolling Stones’ iconic lips and tongue insignia. In the second shot, Deveraux was seen smiling while riding a theme park ride, and in the third, he was embraced by Jagger and Hamrick as the latter was also holding a vibrant birthday cake. The final image showed a beaming Deveraux waving while riding a carnival ride.
Happy 6th birthday to our AMAZING Devi! We adore you so much! Hamrick added a message to the photo and a series of red heart emoticons. Hamrick had sparked engagement speculations to her rockstar lover before sharing the lovely family images when she shared a snapshot of herself looking ready for a night out in November 2022. Fans’ mouths started to wag when they noticed a sparkling ring on her ring finger. “A ballerina hairstyle works with everything,” she said as her description for the image.
Hamrick and Jagger look to be as content as any parents could be as Deveraux grows up nearly just like his famous father, however there is no official word on whether the renowned singer will walk down the aisle for a second time.
