Family struggles to make ends meet, so Secret Santa surprises them with life-changing gift

Most of us are caught up in the rush to gather everything we need for the big day as the bustling holiday season gets under way.

It may be a very stressful time of year for families who are already struggling to pay their bills and have a roof over their heads.

The difficulties faced by the Crow family started when father Brad was injured while working on their dream house and had to have his leg amputated.

He was compelled to take a year out of work as a result, leaving his wife to work as the only source of income as a school bus driver.

In addition to all of this stress, the couple’s plans to build their dream house had to be delayed, so the couple and their two adopted children had to continue living in a shop’s freezing camp trailer.

The Crow family from Idaho was going through a lot of hardship when a Secret Santa dropped by one day bearing a gift that would completely transform their situation.

When he was 14 years old, Brad was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer, and had to endure grueling rounds of chemotherapy and radiation.

Additionally, one of his leg bones had to be removed and replaced with cadaver bone.

In 2018, Brad and his wife Erica started the process of building their own dream house, but their plans were quickly put on hold when Brad broke his leg.

He needed surgery as a result of the injuries, which caused him to get infected with staph and almost die. The limb of Brad had to be amputated.
Erica told Inside Edition, “After that, we discovered he had another condition and needed his hip replaced.”

Their family couldn’t ignore their plight, so Erica’s sister called their neighborhood news station to request assistance for the pair through its Secret Santa program.
