High school student takes very important person to his senior prom: his 92-year-old great-grandmother

Many high school students begin to anticipate prom as soon as they set foot on campus as freshmen since it is one of those unforgettable experiences. But other people never make it to their senior prom for a variety of reasons.

Senior at Watford City High School in Watford City, North Dakota, Dakota Wollan had no intention of attending his prom. Although he could have asked any of his classmates, he didn’t really want to.
But then his father struck upon a brilliant notion.

Dakota enquired about his grandma.

The high school sophomore decided to construct a proposal for his 92-year-old great-grandmother because he loved the concept.

I was given a 1985 Ford that she passed down to me, and I managed to get it going again. So I designed a sign using that vehicle,” he told KFYR.

He admitted that he was still “very anxious” after asking a family member.

Madeline Miller was ecstatic, so it turned out he had nothing to worry about.
She said, “I had never attended a prom before.

Madeline questioned why he would invite a 92-year-old to the prom when there were so many young women in the school.

Age was irrelevant to Dakota since, according to him, if not for his great-grandmother, neither he nor his great-grandmother would have been able to attend their respective first proms.
At the senior prom at Watford City High School, the two were a hit.

Dakota said, “When we came out on the floor, everyone just went crazy.
“Walking by my great grandson, listening to this music as we moved, and people clapping and yelling,” according to Madeline, were her favorite aspects of the dance.
